Bagundi is a tiny Telugu oasis bang in the heart of Delhi. After backpacking through Andhra hinterlands, our founders were convinced that despite the numerous South Indian dining options available, the capital was sorely lacking in terms of authentic Andhra cuisine and the city needed to be introduced to the riot of flavours, spices and variety which defined the latter . A product of the desire to serve Telugu cuisine as it was intended to the discerning Delhi palette, Bagundi is a distinctive community venue where patrons experience trademark Andhra gastronomy and hospitality established through centuries of tradition. Be it the most flavourful prawn curry north of the coastal states, the superbly crafted menu with finely balanced vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections or the nostalgia-inducing tiffin meals, Bagundi is all about championing novel experiences centered around authenticity of ingredients, flavour and preparatory methods. Influences from rural and coastal Andhra Pradesh go beyond our culinary preparations and are also evident in Bagundi’s ambience. Vibrant village scapes and tribal motifs adorn the walls, while carefully curated installations and furniture articulate a rustic charm which only further adds to the overall patron experience.
