About The Grand Imperial

    The Grand Imperial was built in the early 1900s as a Colonial Hotel for the British when the British Empire was at its peak. The hotel has more than 100 years history of hosting several leading celebrities heads of states such as The Crown Prince of England, Lady Edwina Mountbatten, (Vice Regal of India), Shah of Iran, Prince Aga Khan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, (President of India), Jawaharlal Nehru, (Prime Minister of India), Jai Prakash Narayan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, (founder and President of Pakistan etc.) and many famous film stars such as Dilip Kumar, Madhubala, Vaijayanti Mala etc.
